My story
Porter, along with his siblings, was left behind when his owners moved away. A neighbor gathered the pups up and cared for them until we could pull them into our program.About 5 months old, and of unknown breed mix, these babies are healthy, super sweet and very ready of a stable home with a family who will love them and teach them to be their very best selves.Porter doesn't know much right now, but we know, with a gentle hand, consistent schedule, and positive reinforcement, it won't take anytime at all before he knows all of life's lessons ... such as house manners, crate-training, the joys of car rides (especially if a hot dog is on the schedule!), leash manners and whatever else his family wants to teach him!For more information, please email Stephens County Humane Society at schs@att.net, or call us at
